Welcome Andrew to the interview. Thank you for taking interest of this opportunity.
Andrew: Thank you for giving me an opportunity to be interviewed.
Archie: To start, can you please tell me your current designation or level as a transcriptionist? (e.g. senior MT)? What is your location? Where are you presently connected?
Andrew: I think I can be best fitted as senior MT because I’ve been an MT for 3 years. At the moment, I am looking for an employment opportunity. I was formerly with MTC (Innovaquest, Inc.) Marikina branch.
Archie: How long have you been working as a transcriptionist? How did you start in this profession? What are the factors that prompted you to pursue a career in this field?
Andrew: I have been working as an MT for the past 3 years. I started working as an MT at Eastlinc Inc. As an Occupational Therapy graduate, it is in line of my interest and there is a greater chance of being employed or hired.
Archie: Which do you prefer: to work home based or in an office setting? Please explain briefly
Andrew: Home base. Practically speaking, I think I can work better at home due to the fact that I have all the necessary tools needed as an MT.
Archie: Which among these transcription work most appeal to your interest: Medical, General (Business, podcasts, interviews), or Legal Transcription.
Andrew: Medical Transcription.
Archie: What, for you, is the most important characteristic or quality to become an effective and productive transcriptionist?
Andrew: Hardworking, patience, and must be knowledgeable towards the field of work. Never stop learning on new things.
Archie: Being a seasoned transcriptionist, what do you think is the best advice you can give to people who are interested to enter this field?
Andrew: My advices to those aspiring MTs are to improve their grammar skills and typing skills.
Archie: Thank you for your time.
