'' Here’s a sentiment of one of our readers about her view regarding the priority of quality versus quantity work in audio transcription. Mary Jane shared this to us way back for her job application in ad DOTCOM TransWrite team transcriptionist.''
We are in a world full of trials and adversities. We are here, therefore, to live and survive, to win the world in our own little way. We work in order for us to live and we live to work. We all want to be successful. But how can a man be successful? Is it necessary for him to be perfect?
When I was younger, I was trained to do things on my own, to try things in my own way and to discover everything I can without asking anybody’s help. This made me a person who always want everything to be perfect. This kind of training I had when I was young played a big role in my life.
I always make sure that my work is satisfying, neat and precise. I value quality that much. It always feels good to look at something you have done perfectly well and a benefit to everyone in your workplace. I am into quality than quantity work.
I would rather have less work and produce the best quality work then perform a job just for you to get the salary you want and to do ensure efforts so as you won’t get fired. I would rather want to become a starving employee than a rich one who has no integrity in doing his job. What goes around comes around.
You get back in life what you are willing to put into it. So if you do your job in its best quality, you will also get the best from your customer. Let’s take for instance; you really try hard to do things fast so you can meet the deadline, it’s good that you were able to do them fast but I know for sure that you will have to go over it again and again.
It will only make you work again instead of resting by that time already. If I am in such situation, I will do my job slowly but surely, a finished product that is worth your time and effort because if a person’s focus is on how much can he earn when he does them fast and how many can he make , he will only end up frustrated for he wasn’t able to satisfy himself and the company itself.
If you look so much into the quantity of work, it is as if you are setting yourself up for disappointment because you were not able to produce quality products for your customer. We should concentrate on our job and do it well, not in a snap but in the best way you can.
I believe that quality is the root of all success. If the quality is good then the quantity of the products will also be good because you will have more customers. But if you work just thinking of the numbers you can produce, it is yet to say a job well done.
Always bear this in mind, if you love you work, you will produce the best product and people will always find their way to you because they are satisfied with what you have done.
