Value More Quality Over Quantity Transcription

A person who is honing his skill as a transcriptionist has to decide on which to choose between quality or quantity transcription.

Some of the audio transcriptionists would definitely go for quality transcription. One may think that he will earn more in transcribing as many audio files as he can, but he’s wrong. A transcription is done in an abrupt manner usually causes too many errors, which could be the cause of it for rejection.

The transcribed audio can be brought back to the transcriptionist himself again and again if it has low quality. Of course, he would be asked to edit or proofread the transcript or even worst to have someone to repeat the audio transcription all over again, which would be a waste of time and effort.

If the transcriptionist had once and for all transcribed and made it of high quality at the first time, he wouldn’t have to do it again.

Aside from saving time and effort, a good transcription would impress the one who would inspect your work, therefore giving you priority over another transcriptionist who is performing less good as you do. More work, more pay.

More crap, less income for you as well. Performing as a transcriptionist in this kind of job is not just for salary. It is important that you do this job because you would like to enhance a skill, most especially the English proficiency and the accuracy in typing.

You won’t be able to attain your preferred skill if you will be doing quantity transcription alone. That’s why it is important to value quality transcription more than anything else.
