Training Hones Your Skills as Medical Transcriptionist

Once again we welcome you to The Transcriptionists’ Profiles, a series of interviews with people who are working as transcriptionists. Today, we have Rachelle who started to become a medical transcriptionist in December 2012. She is from Las Pinas City, Philippines.



Rachelle attained her training from American Academy of Medical Transcription in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The school is accredited by TESDA or Technical Education and Skills Development Authority – a Philippine government training institution. She then started to become a medical transcriptionist trainee in a company where she pursues to contribute her skills and her being a fast learner to help in the growth of the company.

She prefers to work as in a home based setting and of course, generally interested in medical transcription because of her training.

She values to become a hard working and fast learner employee which she becomes a speedy typist. The best advice she can give to someone who wants to become a transcriptionist is to do not quit in a time of hardships and to learn more focus on typing and listening to audio recordings. Make sure also to don’t entertain stress and also work hard.
